Rick Rathbun

Rick Rathbun’s family introduced him to snowmobiling on his family’s Tug Hill region farm in 1977. From the moment he climbed on a sled, he was hooked. Growing up, he was surrounded by snowmobiles, motorcycles, and just about anything with an engine. That lifelong fascination eventually led to a career with General Electric and Momentive Performance Materials, where he works on the engineering and maintenance teams.

For more than 20 years, Rick explored Quebec’s snowmobile trails by planning and leading trips with his buddies. In 2020, he decided to do something different and booked his first tour with BonVoyage. What he expected to be a change of pace turned into a whole new adventure, introducing him to incredible trails and destinations in Quebec he never knew existed.

Rick is the definition of a true “motorhead.” Whether he’s riding or tackling his latest project in what his wife affectionately calls the “TajMa Garage,” he’s happiest with an engine nearby. When they’re not traveling or visiting their daughters and grandchildren in New England, Rick and his wife enjoy spending time at their home in Middle Grove, New York, with their two four-legged family members.
